Daily Happiness Series - Question 11

Daily Happiness Series - Question 11

Question 11: In one year from today, how do you want to be different?

My Answer: Is summer hard for anyone else? With school out (for my teacher-husband and for my child), and without a routine, or some sort of schedule, I find summer really difficult to deal with on some days (and the 95°F weather, sans-A/C, doesn't help. NO, it doesn't cool down in the evenings, so don't even try it). Don't get me wrong -- I love the extra time off with my little family, and lounging around, going to the zoo, playing at five-million different parks, museum-hopping, and eating ice cream every day really is my idea of a good time, but sometimes a girl needs routine in her life or she goes a little... well... she gets lazy. Take this blog, and my growing to-do and to-make lists, for example. Summer kind of throws a wet blanket on all of that.

My husband is back at work this week, before the students come stampeding through the school doors next Monday (which also happens to be our 8-year wedding anniversary). Our 6 year-old doesn't start school for over another month though, so while my husband is at school from morning until evening, I have both of my children all to myself. This is good and bad. Good because I love my little Butt-Munches more than life, but bad because they can be real butt-munches sometimes, and because it makes it even harder for me to stay on top of any commissioned work I've committed to. Plus I've been meaning to finish some new encouragement packs, but those'll have to wait, too. Oh, and did someone say 'laundry' or 'dishes'? HA. HAHA.

Anyway, I digress. Here's a prayer going up for the next month to be as painless and incident-free as possible, and for it to be at least somewhat productive.

Now. Back to business (for the moment):

How do I want to be different in one year from today? I want to have more of a handle on my daily schedule, even in summer (ha!), and would like to be more confident in myself and my work.
